Secrets aren't secret

Aria was having an okay day today, not one of her best but better then usual. So, she was happier then usual as well. She'd grabbed her lunch & already sat down at the empty table in the back corner, like usual. She kept her distance from everyone else, it was just the she'd always been. Her secrets were her own, & when you were constantly around gossiping teenagers, your secrets got out soon enough. Especially at this school, no-one could hide anything for very long. Apart from her of course, solitude is how you keep secrets. Ari had her iPod on, the earphone blasting out some of her favorite music. It stopped her from taking any notice of what everyone else was saying or doing, so she didn't know & didn't care what others would say about her. The brunette sat, sipping her coke & taking small bites of the apple in her hand while she listened to the endless shuffle of music. People might not of always been there for her, but music has.

[Rachel Berry]

Rachel looked around the cafeteria, lunch in hand, for a seat. She could clearly see her usual seat was taken and the only spare seat that the moment was next to a girl she'd never really spoken to before. But, she needed to get her lunch eaten so she could go practice with Finn for glee club. The only reason she wasn't sitting with Finn was because he had a dental appointment that morning. Rachel stalked over to the table and took a seat at the end of it silently. Usually, she'd be babbling already but Aria Montgomery made her slightly uncomfortable because Rachel had never seen her speak.

One thing that did get Ari's attention was Rachel Berry sitting on her table. No one ever sat with Aria, she was always alone. Well, apart from when she was at home... that was the only place she was never truly alone. She looked up, her deep, chocolate brown eyes resting on the brunette at the end of the table. "Why?" She asked, simply. She turned off her music, pulling out her earphones. The only reason she spoke was because she was in a better mood then usual, usually she wouldn't have even acknowledged Rachel Berry's existence. When she saw the confusion in the Glee Clubber's eyes, she added. "Why are you sitting here?"

Rachel looked up, shocked and confused, her eyes wide, when Aria spoke to her. Okay, so she took back what she thought about never hearing Aria speak. "Th-There's nowhere else to sit." She replied, regaining her usual confidence by the end.

[Alexander Jones]

Alex had been having not a bad day, he had wowed the basketball team, and met some new friends, the day was about to get better as Alex was about to Surprise his old friend Rachel.

[Aria Montgomery]

"Oh, well.... I'm Aria by the way." She introduced herself, if Rachel was going to sit here Aria mays well be polite. She didn't want to seem rude, because she wasn't. Aria was just very secretive that was all, what was the point in having a secret if everybody knew it right? She took another sip of her coke & shoved her iPod into her bag.

"Rachel. Rachel Berry." Rachel replied with a smile and took a sip of her bottle of water--soda and the like were not good for the vocal chords. Rachel half-stood up from her seat and folded her short skirt underneath her so the coolness of the seat wasn't affecting her bare legs.

[Alexander Jones]

Alex wondered if Rachel would remember him, they both had grown up, he could recognize Rachel though. He walked into the lunch room. Some kids cheered. "THEY GUY WHO SCORED THE LAST WINNING BASKET!" A fellow teammate said, Alex didn't care. He took some lunch and sat at the girls table. "There's nowhere else to sit." He said.

[Aria Montgomery]

Her mouth pulled up slightly at the edges, at least they had some sort of communication going. "I know who you are, your in Glee club right?" Ari asked, even though she knew the answer. She was sure she'd seen Rachel with a slushie facial before. Aria thought it was unfair the way the rest of the school treated Glee Club, what had they ever done? The thing was though, that once a social ranking has been assigned you can't get rid of it. Then, when the basketball player, whose name Ari didn't know arrived, she sighed. If this table was going to get anymore full then she was going to leave. The only company she was used to was her own.

Rachel sighed silently but smiled at the other brunette. "Yeah. I'm in glee." She replied, reluctantly because as soon as people knew that, they judged her and labeled her as a 'loser'. Rachel looked at the new arrival to the table. Something about him looked familiar but she couldn't place where she'd seen him before. Suddenly, it hit her. "Alex?" She asked.

Alex looked at the girl, and the back at Rachel. "Yep, if you wanna shorten my name." He smiled at her.

[Aria Montgomery]

Ari rolled her eyes, looking down at her food & taking another bite from her apple.[color:e26e=red"I don't judge people on there social status. I judge people on who they are inside" She replied, a small smile on her lips. Her phone buzzed then, so she checked it. It was her step sister being a bitch again, she sighed again. Then, she sent a reply back & put her phone on the table. Closing her bag, she began to text her brother. She told him that she was going to be late home, because she was going to walk the long way. The less time she spent around her family, the better.
